Clayton-Hamilton Jazz Orchestra = Rock Star Status
So,
I recently and the proud owner of the Clayton-Hamilton Jazz Orchestra CD ‘Live at the MCG.’ It it perhaps one of the best jazz CD’s that I have listened to in a long time! I first heard them a couple weeks ago at the Elmhurst Jazz Festival, if you haven’t gone and say that you are Jazz lover then you are missing one HELL of show. They were great so then off course I went on the hunt for a good CD so that I can take the memories with me. I think the best track from the CD is Captain Bill because it has this really cool Bass Duo thing going on. I really like the songs Lullaby of Leaves, and Silver Celebration. If you ever get the chance to see this guys then you should definetly take the chance and do so! I the director is so energetic that even if you are like dying of the flu he will make you happy. You get a little of that becaue the CD is live and can hear the band talking a back to each other’s solo’s which is great!
Overall: A+ (4.8-5.0)
